I'm trying to simulate an Optically Isolated Sigma-Delta Modulator IC (Avago/Broadcom ACPL-C797), model is included in Multisim database and appears to have required SPICE model for simulation, but thus far I have been unable to produce a successful simulation. Any help would be appreciated. Error produced is the generic "Transient time point calculation did not converge". I've tried using huge resistor (GOhm) to provide isolation between grounds and using both an analog & digital grounds. Neither approach has worked and I'm now stumped as to what is causing the simulation error.
Attached is multisim file and pdf of part datasheet.
Thanks

Hello!
I have been playing around with your file and I kept getting the same error, but then I realized that the circuit you are trying to simulate is pretty different from the circuits shown in the datasheet, could you tell us what exactly is that you are trying to do with this simulation?
Perhaps having more information could help us give you a recommendation of what to do.

I was simply trying to generate a constant duty cycle 1 bit pulse train on the MDAT pin. Eventually we hope to use a chip like this to create a remote voltage sensor, but I'm at the early stages; playing with it to familiarize myself with its functionality. I'd expect a fixed voltage input across VIN+ and VIN- to generate a fixed duty cycle pulse train on MDAT.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by the circuit is "quite different". If you look closely I think you'll realize that the other components you see on the datasheet are more or less signal conditioning, but the gist of what's going to the various inputs is the same. Because I'm using ideal components in the model (and not measuring voltage from a motor) I don't need the signal conditioning circuitry.
Thanks for playing with the simulation! I'm glad to know it is wasn't just me having issues with this circuit. It seems relatively straight forward so I was stumped as to why it wouldn't work. Makes me think there may be an issue with the component SPICE model.

NI you out there??? Still haven't been able to make this work. Help would be appreciated.
