Specifying the properties of a custom component

Hi all,

I am using Multisim/Ultiboard 11.0 and would like to ask the following question. When I create a custom component in Ultiboard, I can assign the newly created footprint to let's say a capacitor. The problem is that in the spreadsheet view in Multisim the "Manufacturer" field indicates Ultiboard. I was wondering if it is possible to modify this, either in Multisim or when creating a custom component in Ultiboard.

Hi Viktar,

This is quite easy to do. Try this:

1. In Multisim, click Tools>>Database>>Database Manager
2. Find the component that you want to add the footprint to
3. Click Edit
4. Click on the Footprint tab
5. Select the footprint that you want to change
6. Click Change
7. Specify a new Footprint manufacturer here
8. Save the changes to the footprint and component
9. Remember to update the component on your schematic.
