Simulation of circuits with many components

Goodmorning everyone,

I am trying to simulate a circuit with many components (about a thousand transistors) and with different subcircuits, getting (as expected) an extreme slowdown of the program (on an i5 with 8Mb of RAM it takes us almost half an hour just to open the Files, adding other components is virtually impossible).

I wonder if there is a method to simulate such complex circuits or necessarily have to resort to hardware improvements (memory? CPU?)

Hi, I'm an NI Applications Engineer,

can I have a more information to figure out how to act?
If is possible to have the file we can better understand the problem.
Second step, once loaded the file to simulate or analyze it we can go to act on the simulation and analysis settings.

Regards

 Hi, thanks for your response.

I'm building a register file from the base components (MOS transistor).

I'm doing this because I want to create a ternary (base 3) registe file.
I built an inverter, two and three inputs AND and OR gates  and from these base blocks, I built flip flops and registers.
The number of transistors is very high (more than one thousand).
Multisim become very slow, it is impossible to add other components (subcircuit) and it crashes.

I think that is a Multisim limitation or a Hardware limitation. (Memory? CPU?)
