Description

     By definition, a Nyquist plot is a cartesian coordinate representation of the transfer function of a system that includes a closed-loop feed-back. From the Nyquist plots, designers can evaluate important circuit attributes, such as stability regions and the number and locations of poles and zeros. Nyquist plots are very useful for filter and amplifier circuits used in signal processing and control applications. An example is provided that uses the instrument of the noise generator to provide a white noise signal as an input to a chain of 3 bandpass, lowpass, and highpass filters.
