simple data logger returns error 10401

im trying to collect data and write it to a file using NI's simple data logger. when i run the VI it asks for the location to save the file in correctly but then returns error 10401 in AI Group config. any suggestions would help.

Hi Torben,

the error code means:
The specified device is not a National Instruments product, the driver does not support the device (for example, the driver was released before the device was supported), or the device has not been configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer.

Commonly this error occurs if you pick the wrong device number in the frontpanel of the datalogger. Open Measurement & Automation Explorer and verify that your board actually hasd the number that was chosen on the frontpanel.
