scaling analog input signals

Hello,

I have a SC-2345 on an PCI-6221 M-Series Board equiped with a SCC-CI20 Current Input Module.

I expirienced a strange behavior:

When I use the physical channel of the sc-2345 when creating a Global Virtual Channel I get only a sine wave as signal (looks like nothing connected´).

When I use the physical channel of the PCI-6221 and configuring it as a current input I get the correct readings.

Second problem:

How can I configure a scale which transforms a 4-20mA Signal into 55-75mm Output?

Thank you in advance for your help

Hi Peter!

When I use the physical channel of the sc-2345 when creating a Global Virtual Channel I get only a sine wave as signal (looks like nothing connected´).

Have you tried using the test panels on Measurement and Automation Explorer instead? You can right click on the SCC-CI1 module and go to Test Panels. This should provide you with another avenue to test your board.

How can I configure a scale which transforms a 4-20mA Signal into 55-75mm Output?

You can scale your input voltage by applying a NI-DAQmx Scale. If you look at this tutorial, it has a section on creating an analog input task and it also shows you how to apply a scale to your task.

Please let me know if this helps.
