recognised by MAX as traditonal and not DAQmx

Hello,

I have just installed a PCI-6110 in my computer.

This device is recognised in Measurement & Automation and shown in the tree for traditional NI-DAQ (legacy) devices. It is not shown in the tree for NI-DAQmx devices.

I already prepared software for it as PCI-6110 simulated NI-DAQmx device. And in another computer this worked, but it showed some bugs.

For my own computer, I tried to refresh the tree for NI-DAQmx devices (F5) but still the device does not occur. Even a re-connected USB device is still shown as disconnected after refresh in this tree. So it seems as if the NI-DAQmx tree has problems since installing this device.

I use:

- Measurement & Automation Explorere version 4.2.1

- NI-DAQmx version 8.5.0

- Traditional NI-DAQ 7.4.1

How do I get the PCI-6110 available is NI-DAQmx device,  while there is still traditional NI-DAQ installed for other devices ?

Hi Jos,

You can try to re-install DAQmx. And then first check if the USB device works ok. If this is the case, insert the PCI board. Installing both NI DAQ and DAQmx is no problem.

Hello Bas,

This worked i.e.

when I started in Settings --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove Software, I got the option to repair NI-DAQmx. Afterwards I got the PCI-6110 as NI-DAQmx as well as a fully operational USB device.
