I would please like to ask if it is possible to measure current directly with USB 6229 DAQ card. I mean an example is you have a lab testing apparatus where you integrate a PID temperature controller. This controller has either an output of the transformed physical variable or an input , in terms of thermocouple via the transducer to convert it to 4-20 mA. What I would like to know is whether the DAQ board can be used to view the data. I understand these two, i.e. the controller and the card can be connected in series when working with 4-20 mA current loop. What I am not sure of, is whether the card can accept such a signal since in default the AI's are for -10 to +10 V DC. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
