maximize resolution for positive DC voltage

Can I set the range of my ADC on a PCI-6221 (m-series) from 1 to 5 V?  -and get full resolution in that range.  I know I can set my input levels to a variety of values but the spec sheet implies that there are really only 4 settings: +/- 0.2, 1, 5, or 10 V.  Thus if you have only +V signal you autmatically loose half your resolution.

Hi 4Climb,

Unfortunately, to use the full resolution of your PCI-6221, you must use one of the +/- 0.2, 1, 5, 10 V ranges.  Some of our other cards, like a few of our E Series cards (spec sheet), have unipolar ranges so you could set your range to 0 to 5 and get the full resolution of the card.

I hope this helps!

Erik

Thanks Erik J.  I see now that this board is designed for AC signals and that to optimize DC signal resolution I simply need to pick the approriate board.
