mass termination

Hi,

When I installed Labview SignalExpress and connected the M Series USB 6251 to my laptop, it required me to install USB 6251 Mass Termination. I searched the software on my CDs and computer but found nothing. I have installed NI-DAQmx 9.0.2. What is the mass termination?

Hi Ningyu, 

The USB-6251 comes in two different varieties, one has screw terminals right on the USB-6251, the other is the Mass Termination option, which has a 68 pin connector on it instead of screw terminals.

If Windows is prompting you to install USB-6251 Mass Termination, I imagine it's because you bought the Mass Termination Version of the USB-6251.

You can always check part number on your device to confirm 

Screw terminal option: Part number 779627-01

Mass Termination option: Part number 779694-01
