log file

Hi ,

How can I log my data so that people can see my log data that can determine which test is pass and which test is fail?

I would like to create a test pass button or test fail button.

Do you mean log to file?  Or are you talking about logging your data to a graph, or something else??

Wang,

If you just need to save some data to file, there are a host of different File I/O Vis at your disposal. They are located in the All Functions>>File I/O palette. I would recommend taking a look at those VIs and reading up about them in the Help. If you press Ctrl+H, it will bring up your context help window, and you can hold your cursor over any VI to get more information about it.

Furthermore, there are plenty of examples that illustrate how to save data to file. One resource is all of the examples that ship with LabVIEW. Just go to Help>>Find Examples, and in the search tab type datalogging to view a bunch of relevant examples. There is also plenty of information online. Here, I've linked an online course that you can view, which includes File I/O information in addition to a great LabVIEW introduction. Hope this gets you pointed in the right direction!
