linux: bug in nidaqmxconfig?

Hi all!
I'm experiencing troubles with daqmx 8.0 for linux.
When I do "nidaqmxconfig --export MyConfigFile.ini", the output is: "Operation successful.". Good.
Now let's do "nidaqmxconfig --import MyConfigFile.ini", the output is:
"Error -201042

Device specification provided does not match any hardware in the system.

Change the device specification to match a device present in your system. You can also change your device specification to be less specific.

Property: Name, PXI.ChassisNum
Line Number: 5

Status Code: -201042"

I really don't understand what's going on. Please help me!

My PC is connected to a PXI-1042 with MXI4. The PXI-1042 contains a PXI-6280 board.
nilsdev returns: "NI PXI-6280: "Dev1""

The hardware is OK, it works under Windows (I have a dual-boot). Please see the attached file, generated by nidaqmxconfig.

My linux distro is Red Hat WS4 (update1), running KDE. The PC is a DELL Dimension 8400 with 3.2GHz Pentium 4 and 1GB RAM.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello,

Your issue is a well known one, you absolutely need to identify your PXI chassis, if you don't you'll be able to export your configuration as if it was ok, but this one will be unreadable (you won't be able to import it).

You must also run "nipxiconfig" before running nidaqmxconfig export.

Here is a link that may really help you configuring your devices :

Hope this help
