is there any horn tone testing equipment available in labview?

i would like to build a horn tone quality control equipment using labview6.1.

i have a doubt, that is it possible to create a system like this and how much it is useful.

also write me what are the existing equipment available in the market for checking horn tone.

I am not an expert with tone quality tests but my experience with NI products says that this can definitely be done. I even found a document on ni.com that talks specifically about this type of applications. Check it out....

NI has a few tools for this including the Dynamic Signal Acquisition devices and the Sound & Vibration Toolkit for LabVIEW. You could pair up one of those devices with a microphone and use the tookit to do tone detection, sound pressure level calculations, octave analysis and other measurements.
