Did you mean:

how do I enable traditional DAQ (not daqmx)

We moved our 6602 and 6023 boards to new computers and installed the NI-daq software (including runtime and ni-daq 7.2 traditional and ni-daqmx 7.2

When I first logged in as administrator the boards were found.  However, in the measurement and automation explorer the devices are only found under daqmx.  No traditional devices are shown.  The apps we run (compiled with application builder) are based on tradition sub-vis and they throw errors about not being able to find the correct sub-vis.

I did check with add remove programs and both ni-daq traditional and ni-daqmx are listed as installed.

How do I fix this so that both traditional and mx are operational.

Paul,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments!

That's odd that the boards would show up in one driver and not the other.  You may want to try a reinstall of the driver.  Since the Traditional driver can't find the cards, the applications that you are running won't work.  Also, the fact that the errors thrown refer to the sub-VI's and not the boards, it's possible that something didn't completely finsih in the Traditional portion of the DAQ driver install.
