cDAQ-9171 USB Connectivity Problem

I have worked with many cDAQ devices, but this one in particular have this issue.

With the computer on, I plug the USB cable and I get "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)", if I got to "Device Manager" and disable the faulty USB and then enable the device is recognized. Also, if I plug in the USB first and then I power the computer on, windows starts, the device is detected and works perfectly fine.

My guess is, Windows requests device descriptor before cDAQ-9171 has the time to be ready/powered-on and I get the error. If the device is powered before Windows requesting it (like the two examples I gave) it works.

I have:

- Installed latest NI drivers (the device can be recognized)

- Uninstalled USB port driver and restarted Windows (fresh install of USB drivers)

- Disabled Windows feature of powering off USB ports.

- Tried different cables (I'm using an original NI cable)

Still have to try:

- Different OS (just to know if it works, but don't solve my problems)

- Powered USB hubs (I'm expecting this to power up the NI DAQ before connecting to the computer)

Any suggestions/ideas?
