Writing to PFI outputs on NI-6251 USB with LV 8.2 ?

Hello All,

I have recently installed LV8.2 and wish to control the PFI output lines of a USB NI-6251 DAQ unit, so as to be able to control 3 digital output lines rapidly...at least say > 10kHz

As a newbie to LV & DAQ, and having looked about the forum and manuals to no avail, could someone point me to some examples of how to control PFI lines of my unit to output dig signals.

I then need to create a sub-VI which will be used by other VI's, so I dont wish to do the control "manually" with DAQ Assistant, but rather with some low level, specific VIs.

Im sure this is a basic issue, but I dont seem to be able to spot any simple examples.

Thanks for any help,

Carlo

Hello Carlo.

Thank you for posting to the NI Discussion Forums.

There are a couple very helpful resources when getting familiar with DAQmx.  The first is the NI Example Finder which contains basic examples about many common LabVIEW applications.  These examples can be accessed in LabVIEW by clicking on Help>>Find Examples.  The second helpful resource is at www.ni.com:

Good luck and if there is any more specific information that you would like to know, please feel free to ask.  We would love to help!
