Write LMV file VI interupts timing

I have a VI that measures and records the time interval between events (using NI USB-6008) and second VI that monitors temperature through a third party USB device. Both VIs work correctly when run at the same time, however, if I attempt to record Data using the Write LabVIEW Measurement File VI in the first VI while the second is running, the timing results are affected.

What is the cause of this conflict and what solutions are there?

Can you attach your VIs to your post so that I can take a look at what you're doing?  Also, can you describe how the timing results are affected?
