Using Traditional NI Daq with Visual Studio 2005

I am trying to programmatically control a DAQ 516 PCMCIA card in Visual Studio 2k5.  I have install the Traditional NIDAQ 6.9.x software since it is the latest release that supports the software.  However, I cannot find the driver dll I need to reference to have access to the functions needed to control the device.  Where can I find this dll?

Hello,

The Traditional DAQ functions are contained in nidaq32.dll. These functions are documented in "Traditional NI-DAQ Function Reference Help" which is installs with the NI-DAQ driver. This help file can be reached through the Start Menu at Programs » National Instruments » NI-DAQ

Where can I find nidaq32.dll?  I have installed Nidaq693.exe and LV61Eng.EXE, and I have completely searched my National Instruments folder and cannot find it.

On my computer, I have it installed in the following directory.  Please check to see if you have the DLL this directory, with your driver version as the folder.

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\RT Images\NI-DAQ\(Driver version number)

The folder "NI-DAQ" does not exist in my "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\RT Images" folder.

The dll itself should be in your system32 folder under c:\windows (XP). Did you try searching your hard drive for the file?
