Used Analog Input to read trigger signal of around 3V and I want to know if I can use a pull up resistor .

I have NI 6229 card, and I am using analog input to read a 3Volt trigger signal. Somehow, it reads 1.23Volt, and doesn't trigger. To see if the analog pin reads correctly, I used a power supply that outputs 3V, and the analog pins was able to read the signal from power supply correctly.

I am assuming that the trigger signal has low current flow (low power); therefore, the analog pin read the voltage incorrectly. I have been told to use a pull up resistor which increase current flow?  Not sure how to do that!!! Please help.
