Temperature measurement with MIO 16E-4 and SCB-68

Hello NG,

we need to log the room temperature (range 5°C to 40°C) with one of our measurement stations. The station uses an PCI MIO 16E-4 and a SCB-68 connector block. LabVIEW is used as programming language.

What is the easiest way to log the temperature with this configuration. Using a thermocouple with the MIO 16E-4 will result in bad values, because the noise will be higher than the signal.

Any idea for an easy solution?

Michael,

the easiest way to measure temperatures within the range you have specified is to use a IC-sensor like the IC LM35 DZ. You could power this sensor with the +5V provided by the PCI-MIO-16E-4.
