Setting up a PCI-6023E card in Windows XP

Hi.

I am trying to setup a CB-68LP card to a PCI-6023E DAQ card using Windows XP.  The device is shown in the Device Manager in Windows but I can not find it nor install it with MAX.  Are there any possible conflicts?  There are no devices shown under Traditional NI-DAQ Legacy Devices in the MAX explorer.

Thanks,

mmgmaoio,

Can you tell me what version of the DAQ driver you have?  You can find that information in MAX under the software folder.  You should see two items in the folder, one called NI-DAQmx and another called the Tradional NI-DAQ.  If you click on those items the version will be displayed in the right window.

If those items are not there than the drivers are not installed and need to be installed.

The latest DAQ driver (7.4) can be found at

If you are using an old version of LabVIEW (6.x or lower) you will need an older driver, I would use version 6.9.3

Also, what operating system are you using?  Windows 98/Me and 95 are not supported in newer versions of the DAQ driver.  A compatibility chart can be found through the link below.

Other possible causes might be that the wrong driver is associated with your PCI-6023E.  If this is the case you might want to try opening Device Manager and removing the PCI-6023E from the device manager.  Then select scan for new hardware.

I hope this helps,
