Hello my name is Aljosha Hupje from university of Twente, The netherlands.
I recently purchased a Ni daq PCI-6040E (formerly known as a Ni PCI-MIO-16E-4). The problem is that in the self test the error code 200020 occurs with the text: Self test on device failed. I all ready searched the forum for answer's and came across the E series diagnostics tool. When i run this test it immidiately fails saying: error 10495 occured at cwdaq (Detection), The NIdaq dll could not be called due to an interface error. FAIL: Device 1 has failed the Device Detection and Resource Test.
I am running an good pc:
Intel E6600 dual core 2,4 Ghz
6 GB of ram cas 5
550watt of power
HD 3870 graphics card
Vista ultimate x64
I dont have a connection block yet but that is under way.
This site also mentioned that some cards are PCIe and other PCI, i am currently running on PCI.
Is there another way to check if the card is faulty?
Thanks very much in advance!

Dear Mr Hupje,
thank you for your post on our webforum. I'm sorry for the problems you are facing. Can you tell me which version of DAQmx you are using? Please use the DAQmx 8.9 version . Which is compatible with Vista X64. Please check if the driver is compatible with your development environment (read me file).
If you are using the latest driver, can you try the card in another slot and if that doesn't work on another PC? If it is throwing you the same problems then we maybe facing a hardware problem. Please let me know the results of these tests.
Best regards,
