Problem configuring a LabPC1200 Board

I have used a LabPC1200 board since ´98 with a PC running WIN97 and LabVIEW v.5.0, without problems. Recently, I installed it in the ISA slot of a Pentium II machine (128 MB RAM, several GB HD) running WIN2000 and LabVIEW 6.1 PDS, with NI-DAQ 7.0 installed. The card is not recognized when running MAX or NI-DAQ. Also tried this by re-installing LabVIEW 6.1, but with NI-DAQ 6.9.3, to no avail. What is missing from either WIN or NI-DAQ? Please give me hints on what I should look for in the software so that the board is recognized.
Thanks, -Brent

Hello Brent,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments!

The first problem that you encountered arose because the LabPC1200 is not supported in NI-DAQ 7.0. You made the right move by going back to NI-DAQ 6.9.3. Now there may be a few reasons why the board is not being detected. Follows these steps to correct the problem:

1. Check the Windows device manager to see if the board is recognized by Windows.
2. If the board is recognized by Windows but not by MAX, shutdown the machine and remove the board.
3. Then reboot Windows without the board in the machine.
4. Then shutdown and reinsert the board. This will allow MAX to redetect the board when it is detected by Windows.

Let me know if you still cannot see the board in MAX after follo
wing these steps. Also, you may be able to press F5 in MAX to refresh the devices and the board may appear.
