Not Seeing C-Series Modules in NI 9149 Chassis

Hello,

I have acquired several NI 9149 Ethernet Expansion Chassis and have been having difficulty setting them up.  I have updated the firmware to 2.5.0f1 and installed all available software packages on the NI 9149. I have also installed the latest RIO drivers.

At the moment I have a 9201, 9476, 9477, and a 9263 plugged into the 9149 (All normal, tested C-Series Modules). In MAX, I can see the chassis under Remote Systems. In Devices and Interfaces however, all I see is NI 9149 "RIO0" and no C-Series Modules. I've also tried this with the web configuration tool with no luck. If I try to add a target or device to a project, all I see is "MXIe-RIO Chassis" which when expanded shows "No items found".

I have LabVIEW 2011 installed, and do not have LabVIEW Real Time, but it is my understanding that I do not need the LabVIEW Real Time module to use a 9149 to control C-Series modules.

Any ideas? There's not much info online about people having issues with the 9149.

Thanks,

Adam

Adam,

Take a look at our Ethernet RIO Expansion Chassis Setup Guide

http://www.ni.com/tutorial/11703/en/

The required software for the 9149 is

1. LabVIEW 2014 or later

2. LabVIEW 2014 FPGA Module or later (if you want to use it in FPGA mode)

3. NI-RIO 14.0 or later
