Need a Analog output module for 4-20mA signal device

Hi,

I need to drive a field device using analog ouput signal from Labview/NI. The local vendor quoted me NI 9264, which is a -/+10 V output module. But my field device takes 4-20mA signal. Is there a way to convert the voltage to mA? Or does NI have 4-20mA Analog Ouput card/module?

Thanks for your help

One option is to use a industrial converter module with 0-10V input and 4-20mA output. Reliable industrial stuff, usually with the benefit of additional galvanic isolation.

Sorry, I would have provided a link, but the flash web programmer of that company made it to hard....

NI 9264 ?

NI 9265 offers 4 0-20mA outputs with a resolution of 16 bits.

Here's the link to the mini MCR module:  http://www.phoenixcontact.com/catalog/2813525

The online catalog can be frustrating to grab a valid URL.
