I am trying to use the image processing program Video Savant. In Video Savant, when I try to download a new processing library from a file that is saved on the computer, the error box pops up with the heading: “Pixel Flow: VSKernIX.EXE – Unable To Locate Component.” And the error message is: “This application has failed to start because NIDEX32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.” I have tried re-installing the application and this does not help. I have also tried different versions of NIDAQ, but it has the same error. I cannot find the NIDEX32.dll file (which I assume should be in the WINDOWS\system32 folder.)
This image processing program worked fine previously. However, our computer crashed and we had to re-install the newer versions of everything such as Windows, Labview, NIDAQ, Measurement and Automation Explorer... etc, and it seems like our old Video Savant program does not work with these newer versions of everything else.
I believe I am having this problem: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=230&message.id=3344 However, I do not see the solution to the problem, and I cannot rewrite any codes. Again, I have tried using the newest version of NIDAQmx, and have also tried with NIDAQ 6.9.2, which was the version we were using before the computer crashed.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks!

Hi Mblakem,
Thanks for the post and I hope your well today - welcome to the NI Forums.
The NIDEX32.dll is installed with the Traditional DAQ driver I believe. However, I think it's only installed upon certain options during the installation. I have read somewhere that you need to select to install examples during the installation process (just like selecting to install .NET support with DAQmx).
You are correct that it should be installed under WINDOWS\system32.
It would seem the Video Savant software requires the legacy software - so becareful that Traditional DAQ doesn't support the newer devices.
Please let me know if repairing/re-installing/fully installing all options for the Trad DAQ driver helps at all,
