Did you mean:

NI MX Base

Under the Measurements folder on the functions pallet, I have: 'NI-DAQmx' and 'Traditional DAQ'.  However to run and review an older version VI, I need another set of Measurement VIs titled 'MX Base'.  I have installed the 'NI-DAQmx Base' disk, but these functions have still failed to materialize.   Anyone know where I can get them from??

(running LV 8.0;  upgraded from LV 7.1)

Thanks for any help

Hello catsh16,

1) I would first check to see what version of NI-DAQmx Base your VIs were programmed with.
2) Do you see the DAQmx Base palette in LabVIEW?
3) Can you do a search of the palette to find the missing VIs?
4) Try replacing the missing VIs with the equivalent DAQmx Base VIs

Please give these suggestions a try.

Sandra,
1)  Its definetly only one version of NI-daq MX Base (V1.4)
2)  So on closer inspection, I can open my .VI on my computer in LV7.1 and all of the functions are recognized as well as being available on the functions pallet.   Function sets include (DAQmx data acquisition and DAQmx-Base data aquisition). But opening the same .VI in LV8.0 the functions are not recognized, and the only pallet avaible is the DAQmx, (not base).  This is acting like a backwards compatibility issue, or ???
3)  I have been able to find a few of the missing functions in various libraries & cabinets, but this has not been an effective solution- LV needs to be able to find them itself.
4)  I would just replace the particular functions individually on the block diagram, however there are nearly 200 of them unrecognized and multiple different versions that need to be updated... more mindless work than I really want to do.

Thanks,
  kp

Hi kp-

You'll need to update your version of NI-DAQmx Base in order to add LabVIEW 8.0 support.  NI-DAQmx Base 2.2 is the current version, and it supports LabVIEW versions 8.0.x and 8.2.x.  If you need to maintain support for LabVIEW 7.1 as well as add support for LabVIEW 8.0 then you should use NI-DAQmx Base 2.0.

Hopefully this helps-
