The 6509 board has an internal sampling clock that deals with change detection. This clock is not available to the user, it is strictly an internal signal that gives to the board a minimum pulse width for change detection of 100 ns. This board is a "static" digital board. The only function where the sampling clock comes into play is for change detection. These boards cannot do hardware-timed DIO. So I suggest you to constact a National Instruments sales that can suggest you the best board with clock hardware that fit your application.
Best regards
