Mac Hanging

I'm using a B&W G3 Mac with a PCI-MIO-16XE and a PCI NI GPIB card (don't have the model handy). I'm using the GPIB card to control a Stanford Research Systems' DS360 function generator.

I can use the GPIB to control it, but when I then use the AI Acquire Waveform VI under LabView 5.1, (NI-DAQ 6.6), the next time I attempt to use the GPIB controller, the system hangs. I was previously attempting to use the serial port to control the SRS, but had the same problem. The "solution" was to contact the serial port manufacturer. The GPIB controller, however, is made by NI, and all the drivers are up to date...

Hello Hysterium,
Does this behavior happen when you are using the boards simultaneously or when you run one program after another? Post an NI-SPY capture file while the program(s) is/are running. Since the computer hangs you'll have to log the commands to a file so you won't lose the data.
