MAX Error Message

We have a 6062 E PCMCIA Daq card which we Are using in an IBM Thinkpad The functionality of the card is perfect when tested in MAX using the IBM Thinkpad, however, when we use the same card in an HP Laptop and test the card using MAX an error message is returned under the option of either Finite/ continuous sampling the message is:
Error : -50202 occured at Daqmxctg_DAQMX Start Task.vi          this is not observed under the On Demand option in MAX
Please let us know why this happens only in the HP laptop and not in the IBM Thinkpad, the configuration of both the laptops are similar ie. a PIV processor,40 Gb Hdd 512 Mb ram etc.
Thankyou

naru,

This is a very uncommon error.  What versions of the NI-DAQmx/Traditional DAQ driver are you using?

This can be found by opening max.  Going to the Software folder on the left side of the window.  Inside the software folder should be two selections, Traditional NI-DAQ and NI-DAQmx.  Click both of these and look in the right window for the version number.

If you have a NI-DAQmx version less than 7.5 or a Traditional NI-DAQ version less than 7.4, upgrade your driver to the latest version.

Tradional NI-DAQ latest driver version is 7.4 and can be found at the link below.

NI-DAQmx latest driver version is 7.5 and can be found at the link below.

If you have to install the new driver, make sure you uninstall the old drivers first.  This can be accomplished by going into the windows control panel and going to Add/Remove programs.  These drivers are in a sublist under National Instruments Software.

If this does not solve your problem, please follow up.
