Loop rate and LabView version

I am doing a linear and nonlinear control position/vibration, whose loop speed is higher than 1kHz. My PXI is an 8176, with DAQ card 6070E, 6602 and 6711.
Each time I acquire only one point from an encoder and two strain gauges, I process them and I output a point.
The loop is hardware timed but I always encounter at least one "data remaining" or "backlog" value different from zero.
Is the LabView 7.0 too "heavy" for the PXI 8176?
I know the PXI-8176 is benchmarked for sinlge point PID loop rates up to 40 KHz, does this benchmark still hold for LabView 7.0?

Thank you,
regards

FlexRob,

the benchmarks you are referring to for the 8176 Controller relate to the controller being operated with RealTime OS. Are you using LabVIEW RealTime or are you running your PID loop in Windows?
You might want to check out this link for further information on how to obtain the best performance out of your PXI-8176 controller.
