Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share a problem I faced this morning. After installing the NIDAQ1700 package and restarting the computer, it decided to turn on the fan to 100% and then completely shutdown itself after 5-10 seconds. That problem kept on coming up with the next several times I started the computer. That was a little scary. After some troubleshotting, I figured out that the problem was caused by the "NI Device Monitor" or the "National Instruments Registration Wizard" program, because after I deactivated it from autostart, everything went normal again. I know this isn't the right forum to share this, but I couldn't find the right one.

Thanks for the report. Do you have any additional information, for example the laptop specifications. Do you have very little RAM? Slow CPU? HD very full? Is the fan working properly? What's the OS version? Could it be that a windows update happened at the same time?

Microsoft Windows 10 Home
8 GB of RAM
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz
The fan works fine, it's actually the first time I really heard it after 3 years of using it. Windows was not trying to get or install an update. I can recreate that problem when I open up NI Max. There is one thing that is maybe causing the problem: I was installing NiDAQmx 16.00 before and updated it to NiDAQmx 17.00. I will try to completely remove Labview and then installing the right package first try when I get time.
