Labview 8 demo - aquiring signal

I have a USB DAQ  made by CEC it's called a usbDAQ/108.It comes with daqmx base and NI datalogger,however tis isn't quite powerful enough for our appliacation so I am using a labview 8 demo instead.

The version of daqMX base supplied was 1.5 is this high enough to use with labview 8 ?

The NI datalogger works fine

I cannot see the USB device as an analog input (I cannot see any refernces to DAQmx),please can someone tell me how to add this device as an input (I'm trying to use the functions window,express,input)

Hi Martin-

NI-DAQmx Base 2.0 supports LabVIEW 8.0 for Windows.  It is not officially tested or supported for your CEC device, but it is likely to work.

One thing to keep in mind- the DAQ Assistant express VI does not support NI-DAQmx Base, so you will need to use the NI-DAQmx Base VIs themselves.  Examples for the most common types of applications are installed with the NI-DAQmx Base driver at \Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\examples\daqmxbase\dynamic .
