We have noticed that there is a performance issue with the T61 card with respect to their PCMCIA performance. I would recommend updating the BIOS first and seeing if this takes care of the issue. If updating the BIOS does not take care of the issue let me know and we can go onto other options from there. The links for the BIOS information are as follows:
