Incorrect voltage read using 6143

I am having difficulty reading the correct voltage on a 6143.  We have measured the voltage (Using a DMM) at the connector and it shows 4.5 volts. When we plug the cable in and then use 6143 control panel within MAX, we read 2.2 volts.  Its like it is scaled by 0.5.  We are using differential mode.  We have also tried a different 6143 and we get the same results.

Powertoad,

What is the nature of your source? Is it floating, or ground-referenced? If it is floating, perhaps you could add some bias resistors to ground. Also, are you using a terminal block? If so, which one? Does it have any siwtches to indicate a floating or ground-referenced source? Please let us know.

Hope this helps,
