In-Rush Current for DAQ-9181

Dear NI Representative,

I am working with a client that has the NI-DAQ 9181.  I require information about the maximum power in draw (in-rush current) of the power supply of this unit since I intend to connect this unit to a back-up power generator.

Please provide me with the above information and if possible the manufacturer and product number of the company that manufactures the power supply for the DAQ 9181.  Thank you for considering my request.

Hello,

The cDAQ-9181 will use a maximum of 5W during operation. The actual inrush current will depend on your exact setup (module, load, power supply voltage), but it should be a narrow spike < 2ms &  < 1.25 Amps for a typical setup with the supplied power supply. The power supply we provide is a 12V DC supply rated for 15W. Thanks for your interest in our products,
