How to safely remove hardware

Hi All,

I'm using USB-6008 and I was wondering what is the proper way to disconnect the device from my PC.

My platform is Win XP and the "safely remove hardware" icon doesn't show up in the system tray.

Any Ideas?

Hello engo,

USB DAQ devices does not show up under “Safely Remove Hardware” so you can just pull it out of the connector and there will not be problems if you are not using the device. This windows tool was mainly done for storage devices since they perform Caching.
