How to reset DAQmx device

Hi,

I am trying to use "DAQmx reset device.vi" to release resources when switching between 2 VIs where I need to use all I/O functions like
DIgital Inputs , Dig Outputs , Analog I/ps & O/ps and all in each VI. Its showing an error saying that some specified operation yet to
finish, so it cannot release resources.

Is it OK to check the error status of "DAQmx reset device.vi" become FALSE? or else is there anyother way to do the same?
we are using M Series card.

Hi Kousy!

   I'm not shure to have understood exactly... your 2 VIs are executing in parallel, or subsequently?

   Anyway, what do you mean by "release resources"? I think you don't need to reset device, you'd rather stop the DAQmx task in the first VI, (clear it, if you want), and then start another task in the next VI, reconfiguring M-board ports, and so on; in this case you can reset device (but I think it's not compulsory....).
