How do I view video in Matlab from my NI PCI-1411 board?

Hello all. I am trying to acquire and image from a Hitachi KP-F2A
camera in my MATLAB program. The camera is connected to the computer
via a National Instruments PCI-1411 board, using a standard BNC cable
connection. I am not able to find any sort of drivers or to get MATLAB
to recognize the board. DAQHWINFO will only bring up "Data Acquistion
Toolbox," so I don't believe that MATLAB recognizes the board or the
camera.

I am using Matlab version R14sp2.

I can obtain an image from the camera using the included NI Measurement
and Automation software but I cannot find a way for Matlab to recognize
the board.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I found another discussion forum post that addresses this issue. It can be found at http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=200&message.id=37&requireLogin=False. It explains that when you install the IMAQ driver, there is a DLL that gets placed in your system directory. Apparently, you can call DLLs from MEX files; therefore, you should be able to make calls to the IMAQ driver from Matlab. I hope you find this information useful. Thank you for contacting National Instruments and take care!
