Generate sweep sine from 1hz to 20khz on ni9263

I tried to generate a sweep from 1hz to 20khz with NI9263 setting the sample clock at 100khz but connecting the oscilloscope I see a sinewave not smooth already at low frequencies around 1000-2000hz. I tried to put a low pass filter after the daq and the situation improved. Is this the solution?

Hi,

could you please be a bit more specific?

Which grade of deterioration are you experimenting?

Could you please provide some screenshots and possibly the .vi that you're using?

Thanks in advance

Hi this is what I see on the oscilloscope for a 20kHz wave at 100000 sample clock. The vi is this.

HI,

If you're generating a sine wave at 20KHz with only 5 points for period I do not expect I very smooth signal.

I'd like to see the "dirty" sine function at lower frequencies, you wrote about a bad output even at 1KHz and this seems to be strange. Could you provide me some screenshots?

Moreover if you put a lowpass filter at the output you'll obtain a smoother transitiion fore sure, but you will not gain resolution. So the question is, why you need to have a smoother signal? Is this sine output reused somehow?

Regards

At 1 khz the signal is much cleaner. I have to enter the signal into a shaker and make the signal fft to find a frequency response. What frequency of cut should I give to the low pass possibly.
