Error occured loading VI 'Fusion.WriteThenRead.vi

I'm running Labview 8.0.  I have a temperature logging VI that uses a compact RIO 9211 thermocouple input.  When I try running the executable I created the error loading Fusion.WriteThenRead shows up.  I found an earlier post that explains the problem with the USB-92xx Bulk Reader.vi and how to fix it.  The problem is that the post was for Labview 7.1 and I cannot find the edit build settings for the Bulk Reader VI to change it.  below is the fix for 7.1

Click Tools » Build Application or Shared Library (DLL)...
  1. Select the VI Settings tab
  2. Highlight the row for the USB-92xx Bulk Reader.vi
  3. Click Edit Build Settings...
  4. Change the Target Setting to no for Remove Panel and click Change
  5. Build the VI
  6. Click Done

How do I do the instructions above in Labview 8.0  Thanks.

I discovered the answer to my own problem.

If anyone wants to know for future reference I will post it.  (waits for reply...sound of wind blowing through an abandoned town)

Well I will post to myself anyway.

The problem is with the NI-DAQmx Base older versions.  I had a DAQmx 2.0 on my machine with LabVIEW 8.0 when I made my executable.

When I was ready to install the executable on my laptop I grabbed the DAQmx Base 1.3 CD and loaded it first.  That was my downfall.

As soon as I uninstalled the 1.3 and put 2.0 on the laptop it loaded and ran with no problems.

I was just lucky.

Jim
