Error -10244 in AI Control

Recently we have been getting the following error message "Error -10244 in AI Control". To fix this, we have to restart the PC.
Our hardware is a NI DAQPad - 6020E USB Box.

If you have any ideas on how to fix this problem our know what this error code means, I would greatly appreciate it.

which version of the driver do you use?

Is it possible that the USB-cable loose the mechanical connection at the USB-port sometimes? - Please try it on another USB-connector and inform me if the problem still exists there.

We use LabView 7.1 with the latest Traditional Legacy NIDAQ  7.4.4 and we already switched to another USB-connector, but the problem still exists...

By the way, our operation system is Windows 2000.

Error code -10244 indicates that an error occurred when trying to initialize the device, also sometimes referred to as a deviceInitError. This error could definitely be caused by a loose or disconnecting USB cable. If the device becomes disconnected for even a fraction of a second and then wiggles back into the slot, the driver will try to initialize the device again. This attempt to reinitialize the device could be blocked by previous resource allocations, resulting in that error.

Is there any specific event or sequence of events associated with this error?
