Sorry about the first message press post before had a chance to write it.
My question was i have a E-Series DAQ card and i wanted to know, if i
am using a encoder in conjunstion with motion controller card, how can
i programme in labview to know exact amount that my traverse has moved
by? i.e it reads the counter of the encoder and then compares it to my
value and moved my traverse gear accordingly...
In summary e.g my traverse gear has moved 200 steps in programme but in
relaity due to slippage or hysterises it has moved 189 steps say... so
my encoder reads this problem, as it is simply counting the number of
recolutions and instruste my motion controller to move the extra amount
to compensate for this.
