DAQ express stuck on loading

I'm using a USB-6009 DAQ and am having troubling getting past the loading screen. Whenever I plug the daq in DAQExpress pops up prompting me to run an application with the device. I click "go", and then it begins to load, but doesn't change the loading screen after showing "Loaded NationalInstruments.NativeTarget" in the bottom right. I've tried repairing as well as uninstalling the software with no luck. Any ideas?

Hi Ajay,

My colleagues and I'm facing the same problem since past 2 weeks. NO solution yet! It is frustrating to see no response from NI.

I have the same issue on 2 different PCs.  On my laptop it will occasionally load if it is not connected to the internet, which makes me think it might be having an issue trying to reach something at National Instruments?

We had the same issue and it turned out our firewall/security software was silently blocking one of the NI programs.  The IT folks added all the NI folders to a white list and it started working normally.

This would be helpful to configure firewalls - https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/documentation/supplemental/10/configuring-software-and-hardware-fir...

did this ever get resolved? I have the same problem and I too am at a university and it is likely a firewall issue. or something similar because when I try it on my home PC to test it then it flies through no problem.

So if NI could give a complete step by step checklist solution to get their product to load it would be helpful

Jason

1.) Check firewall. if using company net, goto your own mobile hotspot

2.) Delete temporary data files: \Users\username\AppData\Local\National Instruments\DAQExpress 5.1.

Fixed for me
