DAQ Assitant VI not executable

Hi,

I'm running Labview 7.1 (Student Edition) and installed NI-DAQ 8.3 in order to perform data acquisition and data outputs using NI's BNC 2120 device.

The "run" arrow on my program is broken, and the associated error is "subVI "DAQ Assistant": subVI is not executable." I'm able to delete DAQ assitants, place new ones, edit properties etc., but the program won't launch. I compared LabVIEW directories with another computer on which the DAQ Assitants work fine and don't see any differences.

Hi Spiritus,

I think the best way to proceed is to first try and repair your DAQmx driver.  There have been other customers that had a similar issue and that corrected their problems.  If that does not seem to fix the problem I would then need some more information to proceed.  Can you place DAQmx VIs besides the DAQ assistant? Also can you place express VIs besides the DAQ assistant?

On the computer that everything is working fine on what version of DAQmx are you running?  Please get back to me and I will stay on top of your issue.
