DAQ Assist - cant open properties

Hi All.

Just had a chance to start at labview, after a long break.

I only have a copy of the Labview 8 and a NI USB-6220, I have installed the latest drivers for it 8.6.something i belive.

My problem is that when I open labview in a blank Vi or one i have made a year back, that uses these daq assist, i cant open the proberties for it.

Any ideas as to why I can open the proberties box for a daq assist ?? I use to have Labview 7.1 and all was perfect..

now don tell me I have to update as my has said NO.. so I would love to get this working

Hi Steeldk,

As i understand it, you are using LabVIEW 8 which you just upgraded from LabVIEW 7.1, with NI-DAQmx driver version 8.6.1, is this correct?

And you are not able at any point to open the properties in the DAQ Assistant? Not even by opening a blank VI and add a DAQ Assistant from the palette?

What happens when you try to open the properties, do you get an error code?

Could you maybe post a screenshoot of what it looks like when you try to open the properties?

You have to install LabVIEW before you install DAQmx.  If you didn't, re-run the DAQmx installer again so it will install support for LabVIEW 8.0.
