Connection Diagram points for a task

Hello,

Is there any way to specify in the connection list when creating a task where the ground is for a connection.

I have multiple voltages coming in and they are all wired to a common ground. Only 1 of the grounds is wired to the board. A arcpad 6015.

I have positive conneciton comming into the board @ 1, 4, 7 & 10.  The neg is @ port 6. 6 is a ground port. Can I tell the tasks to use 6 as the ground for all the tasks.
I cut one of the wires for 1 and plugged the ground into 2 and I have a signal.  I dont want to do this because this board in this configuration is used in another program for something else. I dont want to change the wiring at all. Thanks.

Hello j_es,

Correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like you are just wanting to know if you can reference all of your analog inputs off of the same ground channel. The answer is yes. On the DAQPAD 6015 all of the AIGND inputs are tied together. So if all of your inputs are referenced to the same ground then you can simply run one line into the 6015 (i.e. pin 6). You will need to specify your input channels as an RSE (referenced single ended) measurement.

Hope this helps,
