Cannot interface USB 4716 with Labview 2011

Hi,

I am working on a project to measure feedback and control a gunmount relay using labview and advantech USB 4716. I am completely new to this software so as the first step to receive an analog input I connected a func gen to the potentiometer and took the input to channel 0 and the the other to ground I tried using the AI input from the 8.5 version initially but my device did not seem to read. I tried using BIODAQNavi and I do get some voltage variations, which meant I was getting some reading. I then used a simple example of voltage measurement in Labview to measure the same. I used the advantech vi to proceed further.

However I got a error that said device configuration lost(error 02), then I made a few changes to experiment and then received an error that said device handle error. In Biodaq the device no was #1 so I changed the device no to #1. Using the device pop up I do get usb4716 board=1 as a option but I cannot seem to move ahead after that. The logic of my main program is working fine with a simulated signal but I cannot get the input from the DAQ card. I have tried experimenting in different ways but I seem to be on the wrong path, please do give me some guidance. Thank you!
