Can I use cDAQ-9185 NI-CompactDAQ-Chassis instead cDAQ-9184?

Can someone please help me...On End Of Line tester I'm currently using cDAQ-9184 NI-CompactDAQ-Chassis for vibration measurement and connected ICP accelerometer. Current one has failure and on stock I have only cDAQ-9185.

Can I use cDAQ-9185 instead of  cDAQ-9184?

Thank you in advance

Hello!

The main difference is that the cDAQ-9185 only supports DAQmx driver version 17.1 and newer, while the cDAQ-9184 uses NI-DAQmx 9.6 and newer.

DAQmx 17.1 only supports versions 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 of LabVIEW, but the C series modules should still be supported. View the Readme to see all of the supported devices and programming environments.

Some useful links:

Hope this is helpful!

Thank you very much for your quick support!

I have C module NI9234 and I can see that is compatible with cDAQ-9185, but we use LabVIEW 2011.

That means I cannot use this chassis???

I re-checked now and I can confirm we use C module NI9234 and LabVIEW 2014.

So basically I need only to install correct driver for cDAQ-9185 chassis and that is it?

Yes, just install DAQmx 17.1 and everything should work!

Thank you very much!

And just one more question:

- Can I connect  ICP ACCELEROMETER 352C68 on C module NI9250?

Thank you in advance!

No problem!

Yes, your accelerometer should work with the NI-9250. I suggest reviewing both the NI-9250 specifications and the 352C68 manual to make sure you connect everything properly and are getting the desired data.
