CB-68LP

Hi and Good Day NI,

I have a CB-68LP Connector Block and a PCI-6024E DAQ Card. I need to measure a Pressure Sensor (with 2 active wires) using the DAQ Card but I didn't know what is the correct wiring needed to be done on the CB-68LP Connector Block. Can NI help sort out the problem as I am doing project for my final semester.

Best regards,
Khairul.

Hi Khairul,

The connections are the same like at the connector of the card. So you can look in MAX under your device for the connector pane.

You will find it by right-clicking on the device under the appearing list!

I think you will need differential measurement (AI0 with AI8), which means in your case the pins 68 and 34 to connect with the sensor.

Hi Mr. Christian,

Thanks for the advice. By the way, do I need to connect extra wires to pin (AIGND) together with pins (AI0 and AI8) ?

And is it necessary to hard-wired the pin number 5 (AO Start Trig) ?

Warmest regards,
Khairul.

Hello,

No, you only need to connect to AI0 -AI8 by doing differential measurement.

Why you are needing AO Start Trig ?

Hi Mr. Christian,

I understand now. I just needed to connect the wires from the sensor into the connector block pinouts and set the differential measurement system using the MAX.
With respect to the A0 Start Trig, I thought that it is an analogue terminal, however after looking back at the specification sheet, it is a DIO terminal type.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Khairul.

If you have any problems further on i would recommend to search trough the LabVIEW or DAQmx help, most of the time you will find a answer there!
